We are pushing a yet quite large and needed update this week while focusing on the mobile view for once as more and more interesting parties are starting to look at the platform, you can check out the updates right now :

ChangeLog

1 — Filter for attachment in “job’s submission” — [Feature] Adding a filter to all the posted content especially during the job work submission process.

2 — Notifications missing — [User Interface] All last missing notifications.

**For the “rejected the contract notification” this should be written in the chat inbox as well and close the chat between both parties.**

**When the client deletes the job, and if the freelancer’s is in interview stage, it should be written in the chat that “the job was deleted” and closes the chat between both parties.**

Missing notifications on the platform

3 — Notifications not getting sent via sockets — [User Interface Bug] Some notifications were not sent via sockets and needed to be fixed.

Notifications not added to the socket network

4 — IMPORTANT ! Harcoded values in “Hire Freelancers” & “User Profile”— [User Interface — Feature] This is the data that was displayed as dummy on both the freelancer and client dashboard and profil and should now reflect real numbers based on the user’s data.

Hire Freelancer preview:
Jobs: should display the number of jobs the freelancer completed since his account was created.
Total earned: should display the sum of ‘job’s budget’ he earned with all his jobs.
“Available 30 hours” should be an add in the profil to give hints about his availability.
Skills: Should display categories the Freelancer selected in his profile under categories. (Line them roughly)

Full Profile screen:

Rating should reflect the real rating + add the number he has.
Completed: x jobs should display the same as in the preview for jobs.
Reviews should be the number of reviews he got as freelancer. With the right incrementation, somehow linked to another card I made earlier here.
Location should be the good one, so we’d need to enable back this feature in the Profile so as to feed here.

The text “select a category” should only be shown while there’s no choice, and gets replaced once he selects one, but cannot be selected as a category to post the job (like I did for the test purpose)

BEFORE
AFTER

5 — Add a “deny” button next to “invite to interview and hire” in client’s view. — [User Interface -Features] adding a “Deny” button that means the freelancer’s application has been rejected by the client.

This button is available when application came through and after interview same behavior as “hire button”.

Pressing “Decline” should trigger a notification for:
Client’s: “You have denied the application of ‘freelancer’s name’ for ‘job’s title’
Freelancer’s: “Your application for ‘job’s title’ was denied by the client”

6 — Notifications missing from the top bar notifications — [Bug / User Interface] Notifications that are mostly lacking (both chat + bell panel)

7 — String issues in the APP— [Bug] The display is ok in the “hire freelancer”
but string input isn’t replicated on this page.

8 — Sending contract as client (hire) seems to result in some errors and UI is not responsive (but it gets done in the background) — [Bug] Fixed

9 — Accepting contract as freelancer seems to result in some errors and UI is not responsive (but it gets done in the background). — [Bug] Fixed

10 — Client’s view is able to rate multiple time the client, whereas Freelancer view cannot because it gets redirected towards main page. — [Bug] Fixed

11 — Mobile visibility update— [User Interface Feature]This is the biggest Update of this week as now mobile view is fixed and can receive some attention. We can now share the platform more as more users using their mobile devices can view the platform in all it’s glory.

BEFORE
AFTER

12 — Redirection on the notification panel — [User Interface] When clicking on the notification, it should lead the user to the page it refers to. (current page of the job’s application or chat of the job, or dashboard, whatever the notification is linked to)

13 — Couple of CSS enhancements — [Feature User Interface] Can job’s description on the find work page (the brief section of it) contain the same formatting — e.g. newlines (\n and spaces).

14 — Inbox conversation sorting is like 90% good, but there are still some scenarios where it breaks — [Bug] Fixed
